Welcome and Introduction

Hey Everyone, My name is Dan, I am 24 from good ol' Cheshire, CT. We are the bedding capital of the world known for our green lawns and unfortunately now the home invasion murder that rocked our town just years ago. I consider myself an amateur beer connoisseur who has tried over 200 different types of beers, including all different types of ales, lagers, tripels, stouts, bocks and pilsners. My favorite beer so far on tap has been Harpoon IPA (though Sam Adams Noble Pils this spring surprised me as quite a good beer) and my favorite bottled beer is Ommegang Three Philsophers. My father got my brothers and I into beer brewing his own beer at home including Irish Lager, Irish Stout, and Wheat beers. The second Tuesday of every month was brewing night and the smell of the wort at first seemed a bit discouraging, but after weeks of fermentation and bottling, the wait was finally worth it and so was the taste. I've tried my luck at brewing a few times, but it was only my Oktoberfest that came out pretty decent, however, my golden lager tasted more like champagne. Other than my lack of brewing experience, I am willing to taste almost any type of beer. I dedicate this blog to my buddy's friend Eric who started his own beer rating blog and inspired me to write my own, visit his blog at www.thebeerventure.blogspot.com. Next blog, I will set out my ratings. Good Night and Lets Go Yanks.
